This opportunity is to work on the core Valo technology which is written in Scala, in a very focused and knowledgeable team, on technically challenging development work.

We are looking for a front end developer to join our team based in Málaga working on the user interface that unleashes the power of the Valo engine.
As a front end developer you will work with a cross-functional team in our Málaga office that builds a UI framework and UI apps that clients use to access our Valo technology. You will collaborate with fellow engineers, UX, visual designer(s) and other cross-functional teams to design tools for data visualization, data science, machine learning, and big data automation. You should feel comfortable working autonomously as well as with collaborating with fellow engineers and designers.
- Good Understanding of design patterns, architecture, performance & coding standards.
- Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM framework) and Continuous Integration practices.
- Experience with modern web technologies (HTML5 APIs, WebWorkers, CSS3) and Single Page Applications development with related libraries and frameworks (jQuery, Angular, React, KnockOut, LESS, etc).
- Experience with JS tooling (NPM, Gulp, etc) and control version systems (Git and GitHub).
- Experience in real time asynchronous programming.
- High level of English.
- Engineering in computer science or similar.
- Experience with reactive real time applications and asynchronous programming.
- Knowledge of different types of programming languages.
- Experience with NodeJS/Web Sockets.
- Multi cultural background, used to startup-like environment.

We are looking for a UX designer to join our team based in Málaga working on the user interfaces that unleashes the power of the Valo engine.
As a UX designer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Supporting a unified user experience across different verticals.
- Turn complex problems into simple and engaging experiences for the desktop, web and mobile with complex applications.
- Developing wireframes, workflows and interactions specifications.
- Driving projects from concept to production.
- Design nice and useful Big Data Visualisations to support users explore their data in the product.
- Presenting design proposals that are backed by research and data.
- Gaining consensus among stakeholders and developers without compromising the strategic design direction.
- A great team player, driven and self-motivated.
- Good communication skills - oral and written English.
- 2+ years experience working with UX Design methodologies for user research, design & validation, applying them depending in the situation and team needs.
- Technical knowledges – be able to understand technical requirements of a proposal to provide viable solutions.
- Data Visualisation knowledge – having a minimal experience of data representation in charts.
- Experience with wireframing tools as Balsamiq mockups, OmniGraffle…
- Experience with design tools as Sketch or Adobe Illustrator.
- Technical background.
- Design skills – be able to provide a hifi design specs.
- Knowledge of D3js.
- Experience working with visualisations tools such as Tableau or CanvasJS.
- Finance experience.
- Big Data solution design experience.
